]In P2 this week we learnt the words used to describe weight and the units used when weighing. We were surprised to see that 100g of pasta looked very different to 100g of hama beads! We learnt how to use weighing scales to measure ingredients and baked our own banana muffins. We even had the extra challenge of doubling the ingredients for our chocolate chip cookies. We had to be careful to get it right otherwise our cookies wouldn’t be very chewy! Continuing with our culinary theme, we used jaffa cakes (even oreo biscuits!) to learn the names for the different phases of the moon. This proved to be immense but sticky fun! Most interesting was, of course, the new moon which involved no jaffa cake at all. I guess we better eat that one then!
We cannot wait to return to school on Monday; everyone is very excited, children and teachers alike!
