This weekend, Form 5 travelled up to Meggernie Camp Site in Glen Lyon for their annual camp. When we arrived, the children set up their tents, ate some dinner, and played some games before bed. On Saturday, they were up bright and early for a big breakfast of sausages, beans and eggy bread, before having a great time doing: grass sledging, bushcraft, frisbee golf, and archery. After a barbeque in the evening, we sung some campfire songs around a fire built using the wood that we had prepared earlier, and toasted some marshmallows for s'mores. On Sunday, the children did a superb job of getting up, packed, breakfasted, and tents down all before 9:30! We then headed off to zip through the trees and across the River Garry at Highland Fling. We also enjoyed some time on the water canoeing on Loch Faskally.
A tiring, but memorable weekend for all of the children.
