Form 5 have been learning about Space in Science this term. They visited Dynamic Earth and took part in a ‘Destination Space’ workshop. There were 5 activities including: VR headsets to explore the International Space Station (ISS), laptops to explore the galaxies, iPads to create space models, making ice and circuits. However, the favourite part of the workshop was seeing ethanol in a bottle, turning from a liquid to a gas, causing it to blast off like a rocket with a loud bang!
The Planetarium was fascinating as Form 5 were able to see the galaxies and planets surround them, which really brought the experience to life. It was a wonderful day and definitely created some future astronomers!
