Some Form 6, 7 & 8 girls headed down to the North of England for their annual Netball Tour and weekend away. They headed South of the boarder to Berwick Upon Tweed for their first matches against Longridge Towers. The girls had a successful start playing some wonderful netball and Longridge Towers were wonderful hosts. They then continued South to The Sill YHA where they were staying for the weekend. The Sill is located in the picturesque countryside near Hadrians Wall and is a very modern and welcoming YHA.

Saturday morning we woke to snow........ This made outdoor netball matches a challenge but Mowden Hall came up with a back up plan after much searching and we all headed to Newcastle Grammar School to their indoor courts. Mowden are a strong school for netball and our girls had some fantastic and challenging matches. U11 girls played the best netball I have seen them playing all season. Well done!

Next stop was the Metro Centre for the girl to spend some pocket money and for the teachers to fill up on coffee. We finally arrived back at The Sill in time for supper and a quiz night hosted by Mme Poirer.

The final leg of the trip was an inflatable swimming session at Kelso swimming pool where the girls had a blast! Tour 2024 was a great success with a wonderful group of girls.
