Many congratulations to the Under 11 hockey team who came 2nd in the IAPS National Hockey Finals held at Cheltenham College this week. After a very competitive group stage, they qualified for the main cup competition, and after winning their quarter final and semi finals by a single goal, they met St George's School Weybridge in the Final. Both teams played some excellent hockey, and after a very tense game which ended 0-0, it went to golden goal and we conceded a goal right at the death to finish as Runners Up. What a wonderful achievement!What a fantastic day for Cargilfield hockey, and well done to every single one of the boys who all played so well throughout what was a long and tense day! Also, a big thank you to all our supporters who travelled a long way to cheer the team on.
