2ndXV lose to Dollar

2ndXV lose to Dollar

A wet day!

On a truly dismal day up in Dollar, our 2nd XV looked to get the second half of term off to a winning start against a tough and experienced Dollar side. With a few injuries in the 1st XV our depleted and young team took to the field and immediately were up against it, with Dollar possessing a number of much more physically developed players. This did nothing to stop all our boys in the tackle: with Dexter, Theo and Rufus leading the way and producing a number of try saving tackles.

The second half was much more even. Cargilfield retained the ball superbly well in awful conditions and Theo was rewarded with a try at the end. It was a day where quite understandably the boys could have given up, that being said, they did nothing of the sort and continued to step up against a much larger set of boys. This heart and determination is wonderful to see and will be required as we move into a fixture on Friday vs Sedbergh and our tour next weekend. Well done, boys!
