U13B Boys Hockey v St Mary’s

In a spirited and fluid game of Hockey, the Cargilfield U13 B team started the season with a strong display against our pals from the borders. The boys passed the ball well and constructed some super goals. Alexander didn’t have much to do in goal and I was impressed with the way he kept focussed when the ball did come his way. Archie and Wilfred were organised and effective in defense, working well together and making some good decisions. Monty, Rafa, Tristan and Dexter were tireless in the midfield, constantly running back and forth supporting each other in attack as well as defence. They linked well and always looked up for the pass. Up front, Sylvan and Charles showed composure and a good instinct to score around the keeper rather than through him. They were quick to set up at a hit out and put constant pressure on the opposition. Well played, boys.
