U13 Hockey v Craigclowan

Won

It was a cold sunny day up at Craigclowan. The boys were very keen to get going and running around. We started off slowly passing the ball around but with no venom. The first quarter was very even with Cargilfield having a few good chances but we just got not convert. Craigclowan had a clear plan with a big through ball and getting their center forward in the D, fortunately Charles B was solid in midfield and stopping them. We ended the first quarter at 0-0.

Second quarter we played a bit more aggressive. The boys were passing really nicely and were able to break Craigclowan down a score a couple of goals with James W scoring a nice goal from the top of the D.

I wanted the boys to be a bit more ruthless in front of goal as we were creating the chance just not converting them. Then with a few more changes in the third quarter we eventually found our groove and put a few more goals passed the Craigclowan keeper (who was really good). The fourth quarter started well and we managed to put together a few good passages of play, especially the routines we worked on, on Monday night. The game was topped off by a great deflective goal from Theo R. Well done on a good win!!
