U9 Netball Tigers beat Ardvreck

U9 Netball Tigers beat Ardvreck

Well played, girls!

The Tigers had enjoyed watching the Lions play against one of the Ardvreck teams and we were keen to get started. We denominated the first quarter with some excellent passing from the girls, lovely teamwork and a great partnership between Izzy and Georgia in particular. We managed to get the ball into the shooting circle on several occasions and Georgia scored three goals to Ardvreck’ s one. In the second quarter, our dynamic shooting duo had moved into defending positions as GK and GD. Izzy blocked so many balls, jumping to do so. Emilie worked hard as centre and this time it was Isobel’s’ turn to shoot successfully. At half time the score was 4-1 to Cargilfield. In the third quarter Ardvreck demonstrated some great passing skills and we were a little more ragged, but we still managed to score two, from Emilie and from Maria. Going into the final quarter we were ahead but our passing and spacing was not as sharp, however we did show excellent resilience when faced with a very heavy hail shower. Both teams focussed very well on the game and Georgia managed a further three goals. Whilst we still need to spread out more and work on our marking, it was super to see an increased number of interceptions and the girls keeping moving and jumping for the ball. Super improvement and well done on winning 9-2.
