U12 Netball V Strathallan

Lost 9-11

For our last game of the season we tried a new line up and introduced 3 of the U11A players. It was a step up for them but they played their socks off and did well against bigger and older girls.

Strathallan took an early lead with some very agile and fast play and taking us completely by surprise. We ended the quarter 5 nil down having totally failed to capitalise on the work by our attackers (Emily and Olivia) in getting the ball to the D. A quick re jig of players saw Isla G and Scarlett as shooters which together with some super defensive work from Aglaya and Valentina supported by Gabi and bea on the wings, allowed us to dominate both the second and third quarters scoring 9 goals and bringing us to within a goal of Strathallan.

With everything to play for the final quarter was a very close run thing with only one goal which unfortunately was not ours. We matched Strathallan in terms of their movement around the court and should be very proud of the game we played.

The Strathallan team voted Isla G as player of the match and she was superb in both attack scoring most of our goals and then in GD stopping Strathallan from getting too far ahead.
