3rd Team Cricket v Strathallan

Team: Emilia S, Anne, Rowan, Jaqueline, Hattie, Gabriella, Aglaya, Emilia M
First Cricket game of the season for the 3rd team after a couple of cancelled matches. The team of 8 were ready to use they skills they had been working on in a game situation.
The team worked well in their pairs talking to one another and building in confidence every hit. Anne and Gabriella had some great contacts with the ball hitting it far into the fielding gaining 4 point
The team went into the field to defend the 253 run they had scored.
First up were Emilia M and Aglaya that started the team off well with some good straight bowling. The team were working well and at times provided Strathallan with some very nice bowls allowing Strathallan to hit some strong balls “4’s” and gain many valuable runs for them. Emilia S bowled some lovely balls thinking about her technique and make some good stops in the outfield. Hattie and Gabriella both hit the wickets when bowling, giving Cargilfield valuable points. Rowan made some good stop getting the ball into the stumps quickly.
Jaqueline was awarded player of the match by Strathallan, well done!
To develop the team, need to have confidence in themselves to hit everything being bowled to them and to also make quick decision when deciding when to run. In the field they need to use their hands to catch and stop the ball rather than their feet!
