U11A Cricket v Fettes

Won by 93 runs

After the half term break our U11A team took to the field against Fettes Prep on a glorious afternoon. Kenny had prepared another superb pitch and Caspian opted to bat and get first use of the wicket. Edward and James again scored briskly and are quickly establishing an excellent opening batting partnership. Our next pair was Emily and Olivia, making their first appearances batted with calm assurance and ran brilliantly between the wickets. More runs flowed with all our batters making telling contributions to get to a total of 205.

Blake opened the bowling and immediately struck in the first over removing the Fettes openers. Thalia shared the new ball and also got in on the act producing a fine over. Wickets fell in a regular pattern with Edward, Jamie and Caspian excelling with the ball. Theo, Leo and Toby bowled very tidy spells at the death to limit Fettes to 112. Today’s player of the match was Blake who fielded superbly and made telling contributions with both bat and ball.
