3-0 win, 3-0 win, 0-0 draw

With After a lovely summer’s break from hockey, the newly formed U11 girls were rearing to go!

The team started off with a slick warmup (very kindly taken by the assistant coaches aka some U13 hockey girls). During the pre-match team talk, the team decided to focus on 3 things for the day: passing, communication and teamwork.

Game one saw Emilie score after a tussle with the goalkeeper, and not long after that Florence scored from sheer determination. A strong wall in defence from Helena, Imaan and Jed meant that no ball was ever getting past them. Florence then scored the third goal before full time signalled a 3-0 win.

Game two had Thandie and Agustina showing off their partnership in which they passed between each other through most of the team and quickly onto Emilie to score not one but two more goals. A brilliantly positioned Lily meant that she was able to grab the ball and bounce the ball to the back corner of the goal.

Despite some better spacing in the third game, as well as much improvements in chatting on the pitch, the third game finished with a 0-0 draw, but not before Alexandra was thrown into the game to make some fantastic saves.
