U11B Rugby v Ardvreck

Lost 8-10

The Ardvreck Under-11 team travelled down from Crieff to play our Under-11B team on Wednesday in what proved to be a closely contested meeting.

Ardvreck had the kick-off and quickly set the Cargilfield boys back on their heels, scoring two tries in quick succession. Our boys recovered though and managed to pull themselves back into the game to hold their own so that by half time the two-try lead hadn't grown any bigger. In the second half, the boys continued where their substituted teammates left off and continued to attack with determination. Tackling was strong too, on an individual level, but defensive structure was sometimes lacking, which meant the tries kept being scored quite comfortably by both teams. A couple of turnovers, effected by Torin and Tommy, provided the opportunity for Cargilfield to level up the scores, but these were negated a couple of unfortunate knock-ons which left Ardvreck worthy winners by 10 tries to 8 at the final whistle.

Well done to all the boys for their fantastic effort in the match - they have much to be proud of.
