U11B Hockey v Strathallan

Win 6-3

A wonderful adventure was had for our U11B team on their last match together as a team! Starting off strong with some lovely pressure from all areas of the pitch, we saw our first goal from Lily who slipped past the opposition and into the D first. Our second came from Isabelle S who, after much determination and quite a few rebounds, finally scored a well-deserved goal.

The Strathallan side came back with fighting force to score during a quick turnaround that unfortunately the team did not see coming. Isabelle S decided to show us a repeat of her skills from last week and flicked the ball over the defender to score yet another goal. Starting all the way at the back from Esme's strong hit out, the ball passed through to Helena who drove down the pitch and onto Isobel RD's stick, then to Georgia, then Lily and finally into the goal for a phenomenal display of teamwork making the dream work!

After a quick halftime team talk and singing break, the team came back in with force. Big thank you to Lily who played for the other team after one of the opposition got injured. Some great pressure from the opposition and despite some brilliant defending from Katherine and Jed (as well as some strong determination from Minty who had to play outfield), the ball snuck through a small gap and into our goal. After a lot of scramble inside the Strathallan D, we managed to scrape another goal for the Cargilfield side. And last but not least, from a sideline ball did Jed run up the right wing and a pass to Charlotte who drove into the D and scored from a rebound. This meant that the Cargilfield side won by 3 goals.
