U10 Netball v Loretto

Won 3-2

Despite the freezing conditions outside we were lucky enough to be able to play Loretto. We had a fairly big squad of super keen players which meant we were able to try different positions and combinations during the match.

The teams were fairly evenly matched overall and to start with, no team was dominant. There was a lot of play in the mid court and some really good marking which meant that the ball was frequently turned over. Eventually, Loretto took the lead. This seemed to spur us into action with our mid court players Florence, Esme and Polly getting the ball up to the shooters. Some good defense by Loretto saw the ball been kept out away from the post. However, Emilie saw an opportunity and took a shot from the back side of the D. Although it hit the back of the post we counted it as a goal.

In the second half, there was again a lot of mid court action. Our defenders were busy this time with some super work from Isobel (voted player of the match by Loretto), Jed, Minty, Katherine and Charlotte. Although Loretto managed to score. We managed a goal from Thandie in the final few seconds which took us to victory.
