U13B v Watsons

Lost 4-1

Against a tall, strong Watsons team, the Cargilfield 13B team played a highly competitive and enjoyable game of Hockey. Our desire to keep playing and to keep running all game long was impressive to see and the whole team showed real determination. The Watson’s team was a bit stronger, with some skilful players who could dominate the game. Mack had a lot of work to do and he was brilliant, making a series of excellent saves in each quarter, he kept the score respectable. Edward and Archie were solid in defence, tackling well and linking up with each other too. Archie also occasionally surged forward in attack putting through some great balls. Oliver was superb in midfield, forever running to support his team in attack and with defensive duties too. Alexander kept trying at striker and ran some great lines. Monty showed aggression and never gave up, scoring our only goal in the final quarter with a strong strike from top D. Wilfred on the other wing played through some really clever balls and tackled well too. Overall, a super performance and I was really proud of the way the boys never gave up and were positive throughout.
