U11B Hockey beat Loretto

Super team performances!

U11B Hockey v Loretto

Won 4-1 and 4-0

The weather was fine in Musselburgh as we arrived. Our Under-11B squad fielded two teams, Red and Blue, who would each play Loretto's single team.

The Reds took on the hosts first and were caught napping almost immediately, which resulted in an easy goal to Loretto. The boys started to get their game together and it wasn't long before they began to create opportunities, eventually converting a chance to even up the score. We didn't play our usual brand of hockey, which is trying to use the width of the pitch, and this made for quite a scrappy game; despite this three more goals were scored by the boys. In the last few minutes of the match, the boys played their best hockey by making passing their primary weapon. Daniel and Ensay

The Blues played more fluid hockey when they came on, and managed to make better use of the space out wide, resulting in probably ten chances to score and they managed to turn four of the opportunities into goals. Harry and Hugo put in particularly strong performances.

Well done to all the boys for their effort and enthusiasm.
