U13A Hockey v Loretto

Won 8-3

On a settled and mild afternoon, the boys enjoyed a fast-flowing and competitive game against Loretto this afternoon. With a few boys away representing the Saltires, it was a great opportunity for this talented group of boys to test themselves against a fit and skillful Loretto team.

Archie and Edward played at the back and controlled things very well. Jamie W was communicative and focused in goal and was even on the receiving end of a pass back that went a bit wide and he made it look like part of the plan.

Charles and Tristan played mainly in the midfield together and they linked up well, showing good awareness and dribbling skills. Theo was determined up front and finished off some flowing moves with some great goals. Oliver was tireless on the right flank, burning up and down looking for ball and creating a lot of opportunities with some great crosses. Jamie P performed a similar job in the left wing, using his strong reverse pass well to put across some accurate crosses. Wilfred showed good adaptability slotting in at different positions around the pitch and he played well.

The boys played some good hockey, with some passing around the back to transition the ball from one wing to the next. Well played boys.
