Edinburgh Accies runners up at the Melrose 7s

Old boy captained team to the Final

Edinburgh Accies reached the final of the Melrose 7s on saturday, captained by old boy Jamie Sole. At the birthplace of sevens, where Ned Haig invented the game, they fought through a number of tough games against semi professional sides before losing to London Scottish in the Final.

Jamie was interviewed on the BBC by former Scotland captain Andy Nicol before the final.

Our graduate assistant, Will Stephen, was also in the squad and the Accies played some fantastic sevens throughout the day.
