Pre Prep Christingle Service

Pre Prep Christingle Service

A beautiful Service in Chapel

This week the Pre-prep children made Christingles and gathered around the beautifully lit Christmas tree in the chapel with their Christingles glowing in the darkness. P2 led a short service in the chapel explaining the meaning of each part of the Christingle. They told us how the orange represents the world, the red ribbon around the world reminds us of God’s love and the four cocktail sticks stand for the four seasons Spring, Summer, Autumn, and Winter. They explained how the sweets and fruits represent God’s beautiful creation and the candle shows the light of Jesus bringing hope to our world. We concluded with a short Christingle prayer asking God to bless the children as the little lights were glowing in their hands. Thank you to all those who attended this lovely and rather magical event.
