U13C Netball v Fettes

First game of the season for the U13C team. The squad; Rowan, Emilia S, Anne, Jaqueline, Isla G, Gabriella, Emilia M, Aglaya, Beatrice. The team were excited to get going. After a little bit of discussion about positions and everyone feeling comfortable, the game started. Initially we had to learn that a center pass must be caught in the center third first before the game could continue. The first quarter started slowly with Cargilfield taking longer to get into the game than Fettes which allowed them to have more possession of the ball and opportunities in the shooting circle. Our defenders worked fairly well together and intercepted a number of balls. Throughout the game our desire to want the ball increased and the team started snatching the ball more and finding a good position to defend. When they got the ball into the shooting circle the shooters did a great job with Jaqueline, Gabriella and Beatrice determine to score. To develop the team need to work on their pace and speed of the game and work on their basic skills. Final score 5-14 loss.
