On Monday 29th April, we were delighted to welcome Abi Elphinstone back to Cargilfield to tell us about "Ember Spark and the Thunder of Dragons", the first title in an exciting new series of books set on the East coast of Scotland. Abi captivated our P3 to Form 6 pupils with stories of her adventures and revealed where she finds her ideas – everywhere from shower gel bottles and street signposts to travels in Mongolia! Abi encouraged all the children to start looking for their own stories, dream up intriguing titles and nail that opening line. It was a truly inspirational afternoon and we were very happy to share it with our visitors from Merchiston and Cramond Primary.
